Wexford Open Studio Art Trail

2013 sees the inauguration of the Wexford Open Studio Art Trail as part of the Wexford Festival Opera Fringe Event. Two members of The Dublin Painting and Sketching Club, Patrick Cahill and Tomas King, are taking part in the event and will throw open the doors to their studios together with Serena Caulfield (paintings), Bernadette Doolan (paintings, ceramics and sculpture) Kevin Freeney (paintings), Helen Mclean (paintings, mosaic and stained glass),  Jane Meyler (paintings), Eithne Ryan (paintings and pastels) and Mairead Stafford (ceramics, sculpture and pottery).

The Art Trail is an opportunity to meet with the artists in their working environment, discuss their work first hand and discover from them what inspires their own creative speciality. Each artist will host a small exhibition of their work and it is hoped this will become an annual event as part of the Wexford Opera Fringe. The Open Studio Art Trail will run from the 26th October – 3rd November. For further information of individual artists and their work together with opening times and directions visit the website at www.wexfordopenstudioarttrail.com or pick up a leaflet at the Wexford tourist office or library.
